During the setup process, your Roku® Smart Home devices adopt Wi-Fi® settings from your phone or tablet. When you move or change network equipment, these settings may change, causing your smart home devices to go offline. To update the Wi-Fi settings, repeat the setup process and connect your smart home devices to your new network.
To change Wi-Fi settings for your smart home camera, home monitoring system, light strip, or plug, you simply need to set up the device again in the smart home mobile app. Most devices require a factory reset before you can set them up again. Doing this will remove your settings and preferences.
To update Wi-Fi settings for video doorbells and indoor cameras, factory reset the device by holding the Setup button for 10 seconds, then skip to set up your device again.
To update the Wi-Fi for outdoor cameras, first delete your outdoor camera from the Roku Smart Home mobile app, then skip to set up your device again.
To update Wi-Fi settings for your smart home bulb, plug, or light strip, first factory reset the device, then skip to set up your device again.
If you need to change existing Wi-Fi settings on your home monitoring system, press and immediately release the Reset button on your Roku Monitoring Hub. Then skip to set up your device again. The hub will remember the connections to you sensors and keypad, so you will not have to set them up again.
Note: The hub will remember the connections to your sensors and keypad, so you will not have to set them up again.
If you have not set up Wi-Fi or need to change from a wired Ethernet connection to Wi-Fi, use the following steps to connect to your Wi-Fi network in the mobile app.
