Troubleshoot Roku Smart Home Camera battery life
If your Roku Smart Home Camera or Battery Camera Plus battery is draining faster than expected or isn’t holding a charge, there are a few ways to improve its performance. Read more to learn how to extend your battery's life.
Charging Your Camera
Use the USB cable that came with your device.
Plug it firmly into your camera and into a known good power source that provides 5V/2A.
Make sure the status light turns on.
When it's solid green, your device is fully charged.
How to check the camera battery level
Open the Roku Smart Home App and select the camera you want to check
Click Settings then go to Device Info > Battery Usage

Causes of battery drain
Too many motion events
Each time your Roku device detects motion or records a video, it consumes battery power. A high number of these events can drain your battery faster.
