How do I switch audio sources on my Roku® Streambar®?

Your Roku Streambar connects directly to your TV, letting you stream movies and TV shows with exceptional, big-picture sound. You can also enjoy the same amazing sound from your TV's built-in tuner and any device connected to your TV, such as a Blu-ray player, game console, or cable set-top box. You can use the TV remote to switch the active input to whatever device you wish to use, and the sound from that device will automatically play from your Streambar.

  • Note: Streaming audio from your smartphone, tablet, or computer via Bluetooth® or Spotify Connect overrides audio from any other source.

For more information, read the detailed article about how you can use a game console or Blu-ray player with your Roku Streambar.

Why do I continue hearing sound from streaming channels after switching to my other devices?

If your TV does not support CEC, or if it supports the feature, but it is not enabled, it is recommended you stop playing content on any streaming channel before switching the active input on your TV to another device. Press the Home button home button on Roku remote to stop playback , exit the streaming channel and return to the home screen before switching sources.

Alternatively, if your TV supports the HDMI feature, you can enable CEC on your TV and sound will switch automatically when you switch the active input to your other sources.
