How to mount your Roku® Streambar® Pro or Roku Smart Soundbar

Mounting guidelines

When choosing a location where to mount your Roku Streambar Pro or Roku Smart Soundbar, take the following guidelines into consideration:

• Do not block the IR receiver on your TV: Your TV remote uses invisible infrared (IR) light to send a signal a short distance to an IR receiver on the front of your TV, typically located along the bottom edge of the screen. Do not mount your Streambar or soundbar in a location that blocks the IR signal from getting to the IR receiver on your TV when seated in your normal viewing position.
• Center your Streambar or soundbar: To best anchor the sound with the picture, center your Streambar or soundbar with your TV. Mounting it to the left or right of the screen will create a disconnected listening experience.
• Install at ear level: To best focus the sound at your listening position, your Streambar or soundbar should be mounted at ear level (when you are seated).
• Leave access space: Some TV's have buttons and/or connectors along the bottom or top edge of the screen. When choosing a mounting location, leave enough space between your Streambar or soundbar and TV to allow for access to any control buttons or audio/video connections.

How to choose compatible mounting hardware for your Streambar or soundbar

Your Roku Streambar Pro or Roku Smart Soundbar features ¼” (6.35 mm) 20-threaded mounting sockets for compatibility with a wide range of mounting solutions. These sockets fit standard ¼” (6.35 mm) 20-threaded screws, 0.39” (10 mm) in length. These are commonly included with universal mounting kits, or they can typically be purchased from most hardware stores. Any solution you choose must safely support the weight of your Streambar or soundbar. Confirm that your chosen hardware is designed to support a minimum of 5.5 lbs. (2.49 kg).

The mounting sockets are located on the rear of your Streambar or soundbar, 12.6" apart as seen below.

Which soundbar mount is right for me?

Manufacturers offer soundbar mounts that let you attach your Streambar or soundbar to the wall, or to your TV. There are a variety of models on the market with a few examples listed below.

Mounting to a wall

If you plan to mount your Streambar or soundbar to a wall, you can purchase an adjustable design such as those listed below. Follow the instructions from the manufacturer to ensure your Streambar or soundbar is mounted securely to the wall.

Mounting to your TV

If you want to mount your Streambar or soundbar directly to your TV, or to the bracket holding your TV on the wall, a few ideas are listed below. Use the manufacturer's instructions to make sure your Streambar or soundbar is attached securely to your TV, or the TV bracket.
