How to set up a favorites channel list with Roku's Live TV Channel Guide
With a large variety of live streaming channels in the Live TV Channel Guide, you may wish to hide certain channels, create a custom list of your favorites, or filter the guide to only show certain channels. If you have a Roku TV™ and have an HDTV antenna connected, you can also hide and set favorites with "over-the-air" broadcast channels.
How to access the Live TV Channel Guide
You can open the Live TV Channel Guide directly from the Live TV row in The Roku Channel, or you can access it any time you are watching a live streaming TV channel or an "over-the-air" channel (if you have an HDTV antenna connected and the Live TV input on your Roku TV is set up). When you are watching a program, press Left on the directional pad to open the Live TV Channel Guide. The directional pad is plus-shaped and is in the center of your Roku remote.

How to open the Channel options menu
When you want to hide a channel, favorite a channel, or filter the list of channels in the guide, access the Channel options menu using the steps below.
- Open the Live TV Channel Guide
- Find the channel you wish to hide
- Move left until the the channel name and logo is highlighted
- Press Star
on your Roku remote to open the Channel options menu
How to hide channels
When you want to hide a single channel, open the Channel options menu and the select Hide this channel. You can repeat this for each channel you wish to hide or use the instructions below to hide many channels at once.
- Open the Channel options menu
- Select Manage channels
- Select Manage channel lineup
- Press OK
to check the box next to any channel you wish to hide
- Tip: As you move down the channel lineup, pause for a moment and your Roku® device will switch to the channel for a quick preview.
How to set favorite channels
To set a channel as a favorite, open the Channel options menu and the select Favorite channel. You can repeat this for each channel you want to favorite or use the following steps to favorite multiple channels at once.
- Open the Channel options menu
- Select Manage channels
- Select Favorite channels
- Press OK to check the box next to any channel you wish to favorite
- Tip: As you move down the list, pause for a moment and your Roku device will switch to the channel for a quick preview.
How to filter the channel guide
You can filter the Live TV Channel Guide to display all channels (minus any hidden channels), an automatically generated list of recently watched channels, or your favorite channels. When the channel guide is filtered, only the channels that are part of the filtered view appears. Use the following steps to filter the channel guide.
- Open the Channel options menu
- Select Filter
- Choose All channels, Recents, or Favorites
Why is a channel missing?
If you cannot find a channel you are looking for, try filtering the channel guide to display all channels. If you still do not see the channel, it was likely hidden by someone. Use the steps below to find and unhide it.
- Open the Channel options menu
- Select Manage channels
- Select Manage channel lineup
- Move up or down the list and find the channel you are looking for. If there is a checkmark in the box, the channel is hidden.
- Press OK to uncheck the box
