Common types of charges you'll find in your Roku purchase history
Free trials that have turned into paid subscriptions
Free trials automatically turn into paid subscriptions after the trial ends. To avoid charges, you must turn off auto-renew by the last day of the trial. If you get charged for a subscription you don’t want, turn off auto-renew to cancel it. This will stop future charges.
Subscriptions through Roku
Subscriptions billed by Roku show up as a charge from “Roku,” "Roku for ___ ," or "The Roku Channel." If you're billed for Disney+, Hulu, or Sling TV by Roku, however, you need to contact those streaming services directly with billing questions.
Subscriptions on The Roku Channel
The Roku Channel has free and Premium Subscription channels. The Roku Channel is always free. But if you sign up for a Premium Subscription, there will be a recurring charge. These charges will appear as charges from "The Roku Channel" on your billing statement.
Roku Smart Home subscriptions
When you set up a new Roku Smart Home camera or doorbell, you get a free 14-day trial of a Roku Smart Home subscription. If you sign up for a Roku Smart Home subscription before or after the trial ends, the transaction will appear in your Roku purchase history.
Purchases for Roku devices
When you buy a Roku streaming player, Roku soundbar, or other device from roku.com, it will show up in your Roku account purchase history.
Subscriptions purchased through other streaming services
Subscriptions purchased directly through other streaming services won't show up in your Roku purchase history. Contact the streaming service directly for help with your bill for these subscriptions.
What to do if there's still a charge on your Roku account you can’t identify
Difficulty recognizing the provider name or subscription charge (i.e., CBS Interactive, Warner Media, etc.).
Understanding which channels are free vs. paid on The Roku Channel.
If you don’t see your subscription in your Roku purchase history but find it on your billing statement, it means the subscription was purchased directly through the service provider and not Roku. In that case, contact them directly for help with your bill.
