Roku wireless speakers or a Roku TV Wireless Soundbar is designed to add full, rich sound to your Roku TV, dramatically improving the audio performance. To achieve optimal synchronization of picture and sound when connected to your Roku TV, and reduce the likelihood of momentary audio dropouts, the audio and video signals are slightly delayed when you are using your wireless audio device. In most cases, this is not noticeable. However, when using an interactive device connected to your Roku TV such as an Xbox, PlayStation, or personal computer, you may notice a slight video delay, or what some may refer to as "video lag".
To minimize the video delay on your HDMI or AV input, you can enable Game Mode for that source, improving the video response time.
Note: Game mode cannot be turned on when watching streaming services or over-the-air TV on the antenna input. If you notice a synchronization issue or other audio problem when using these sources, learn more about resolving general audio playback issues.
Use the steps below to turn Game mode on (or off) when using an external device connected to your Roku TV.
