How to set up, or sync, subscriptions in your account on a second Roku streaming device
When you get a new Roku device, you need to connect it to the same Roku account you used before. Once you do, your apps will automatically download to your new device. Many subscriptions will sign in automatically, but not all.
If an app doesn’t sign you in, you may need to enter your username and password again.
What is Automatic Account Link?
Automatic Account Link is a Roku feature that saves your login info for supported apps. If you already signed into an app on your old Roku device, you may be signed into the same app on your new device automatically.
Not every app supports this, so sometimes you still have to log in manually.
Why aren’t I signed into my apps on my new Roku device?
To be signed in automatically, make sure:
- Your new Roku device uses the same Roku account (check Settings > System > About).
- The app supports automatic sign-in (not all do).
- Your subscription is active and payment info is current.
- You were already signed in on your old Roku device for that app.
If any of these are not true, you may need to sign in manually.
Quick troubleshooting steps
If your channels didn’t sync or subscriptions aren’t signing in, try the following:
- Restart your Roku device

- Open the app on your old Roku device to confirm you're logged in

Do all apps automatically log in on a new Roku device?
No. Only apps that support Automatic Account Link will sign you in automatically.
Do my subscriptions transfer to my new Roku device?
Yes, as long as you use the same Roku account. But some apps will still require you to sign in again.
