How to save movies and TV shows using Save List
Create a single, easy-to-access collection of entertainment from across the Roku® platform with Save List. Save movies and TV shows that you like or want to watch later with a click of a button. All your saved titles are easily accessible in Save List on your streaming device's Home Screen menu, just waiting for you to press play. Save List is seamlessly integrated with the Roku mobile app, so you can add a movie or TV show to your list from anywhere.
Save List is only available in Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
What is Save List?
A new Save option will now appear on movie and TV show details pages, allowing you to save that title to stream later with a simple press of a button. Save List is available on the Home Screen menu, giving you a convenient way to access saved entertainment and to add or remove titles in your list. There will only be one Save List per streaming device. If you are using the same account as your family or friends, you will be able to add content to the Save List on your own streaming and mobile devices.
Save List replaces My Feed. Items from the last twelve months in My Feed will automatically be included in the new Save List.
How to use Save List on your streaming device
You will be able to save content such as movies and TV shows from providers across the Roku platform. The only exception is you cannot save content that is exclusive to Netflix. However, you can continue to favorite apps allowing you to customize your guide. You can find and save content from the Roku search and if you have a Roku voice remote, you can search with Roku Voice Search. After you add a TV show or movie title to your Save List, the details screen will update to show the title is now saved. Your saved titles are easily accessible in Save List on your home screen menu.
Add items to your Save List
Use the following steps to save movies and TV shows to your Save List with Roku Text Search or, if you have a voice remote, Roku Voice Search.
- Press Home
on your remote - Scroll and select Search or press the Voice
button on your remote - Type or say the title of your movie or TV show
- Use the directional pad on your remote to access the search results
- Select the title
- From the details screen, select Add to Save List
Tip: As you type each letter, the search results will update. You do not have to type the entire title to find your movie or TV show.
Remove an item from your Save List
If you no longer want an item in Save List, use the instructions above to find the title and select Remove from Save List. Alternatively, you can remove an item directly from Save List in the Home Screen menu. Select a title and then from the details screen, select Remove from Save List.
After you remove an item, your Save List will update to reflect the change.
How to use Save List in the Roku mobile app
As long as you are signed in to both the Roku mobile app and your streaming device with the same account, the Save List in the mobile app will have the same content.
Use the following steps to save movies and TV shows in the Roku app.
- Tap the Search
field - Begin entering the title of the show or movie you want to save
- When a selection you want to make appears, select the title
- From the details screen, tap Add to Save List
