How to view your Roku® purchase history and charges to your account

If you’re having difficulty understanding what a charge on your invoice is referring to, learn how to identify a charge you do not recognize.

Common types of charges that you'll find in your Roku purchase history

Free subscription trials that have turned into paid subscriptions

Free streaming subscription trials automatically turn into recurring paid subscriptions after the free trial period. To avoid being charged for a recurring subscription, you must turn off auto-renew on or before the last day of the free trial period. If you're charged for a subscription that you don't want, you must turn off auto-renew to cancel the subscription to prevent future recurring charges. Note that you will continue to have access to the subscription until the end of the monthly or annual billing period.

Subscriptions billed through Roku

All transactions from Roku appear with the company name ("Roku") in credit card and bank statements. If “Roku” is not referenced, it’s not a charge from Roku.

Purchases for Roku devices

Purchases for Roku streaming players, Roku soundbars, or other products purchased from roku.com will appear in your Roku account purchase history.

Subscriptions billed directly through other streaming service providers

Subscriptions purchased directly through streaming service providers will not appear in your Roku purchase history. Your subscription relationship is with that service provider and not with Roku. You’ll need to contact that service provider directly for help with your bill for that subscription.

What to do if there's still a charge on your Roku account you can’t identify

See our support article about Roku charges you don't recognize, especially if you're running into the following issues:

  • Difficulty recognizing the provider name or subscription charge (i.e., CBS Interactive, Warner Media, etc.)
  • Don't see your subscription in your Roku purchase history, but see it on a credit, debit, or other financial statement: it means that you purchased the subscription directly through the service provider and not through Roku, so you’ll need to contact that service provider directly for help with your bill for that subscription.
