Using your credit from Roku

How do I use my credit?


Roku and our partners may offer a credit as part of a promotion or as a thank you for being a Roku customer. Credit can be used toward eligible purchases, such as new subscriptions, subscription auto-payments and renewals, and movie rentals.

Note that purchases billed through third parties, including but not limited to Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube TV, and Apple TV, are ineligible. Terms apply.

  • Claim your credit: Follow the instructions you receive for the promotion or otherwise provided by Roku. Your credit will be added to your Roku account and ready for your next eligible purchase.
  • Use your credit: Finally start that show you need a subscription to watch, rent that movie you’ve been meaning to see, or get a new streaming device for your other TV. Your credit will be automatically applied to your next eligible purchase.

How do I see how much credit I have?


View your credit on your Roku device or TV or by signing in to your Roku account:

  • Sign in to my.roku.com. Your credit balance will appear at the top.
  • Press Home home button on Roku remote on your Roku device, go to Settings > Payment method.
  • In the Roku mobile app, go to Account > Payments & subscriptions.

Does credit expire?


Credit must be claimed by the applicable claim deadline specified in the promotion. Claimed credit does not expire unless specified in the applicable promotion.

Why do I need to add a payment method?


If you don't already have a payment method on file when you redeem your credit, we ask you to add one  to make sure you have enough funds to complete the transaction. If the applicable transaction amount is less than your available credit, any remaining credit will be available for future eligible purchases. If your available credit is less than the applicable transaction amount, your payment method on file will be charged for the difference.
